Craftsmanship & Conviviality
Hutch Lee
Hutch Lee is a Charleston-based private chef and sommelier who grew up eating oysters, mispronouncing French wine names, and learning that great food is about the people you share it with. Now he creates elevated, in-home dining experiences that blend refined technique with a deep knowledge of global wine—think multi-course meals designed for intimate gatherings, vacation homes, and the kind of occasions that deserve more than a reservation. From menu design to wine pairing to service, every detail is handled. You just show up.

Our Philosophy
What Hospitality Means to Hutch
Hospitality is treating everyone like family. Not in the corporate sense, but in the real one—inviting someone into your space and giving them the best night they've ever had.
When you open a bottle of wine, you're sharing something that took years to make. A vine that didn't want to grow. Grapes picked by hand, fermented, aged, refined, and transported across the world—all so you could sit at a table with a stranger, a family member, a friend, a lover, and experience something together.
The same goes for food. A recipe isn't just ingredients on a plate. It's culture and history layered together. Dishes prepared for royalty. Dishes created out of necessity and survival. The marriage of flavors from different parts of the world—spices that traveled trade routes, techniques passed down through generations, ingredients that define entire regions. Food, like wine, is ingrained in our DNA. It tells the story of who we are and where we came from.
Eating isn't just about ingesting food. It's a moment. An experience. An opportunity to slow time and be present with what's in front of you and who's beside you.
At the end of the day, I don't need you to remember my food. I don't need you to remember the wine. I want you to remember the night. The memories. The smiles. The joy.
That's what hospitality is about. Making memories worth keeping.
